Greater Chennai Corporation asks 6+ lakh property owners to clear ₹847 crore dues by September 30

The Greater Chennai Corporation has called on over six lakh property owners to clear their outstanding property tax dues totalling ₹847 crore by September 30. The civic body has set this deadline as part of its revenue collection drive. Of the 14,15,771 property owners in the city, 8,12,539 have already paid their property tax without arrears, according to GCC records. The remaining property owners are being urged to settle their outstanding payments before the stipulated date.
