Shivraj Singh Chouhan pushes states to meet farm scheme targets on time

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed states to meet their commitments on agricultural initiatives within stipulated timelines. Chouhan cautioned against what he termed 'eating, meeting and sitting'—an apparent reference to delays caused by administrative inaction.
The minister stressed that states must deliver on pledges made during the conference, particularly regarding Farmer ID generation and other components of AgriStack, the government's digital agricultural infrastructure framework. He emphasized the need for timely execution to ensure the scheme's effectiveness across states.
