Justice must reach vulnerable citizens: CJI Surya Kant

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Wednesday emphasized that justice must extend beyond courtroom walls to reach marginalized and vulnerable populations. Speaking at the inauguration of Bihar's first Victim Rights Centre (VRC), CJI Kant stressed the importance of making the legal system accessible to those who struggle to navigate it independently.

The CJI highlighted that justice systems often fail to reach citizens who are unheard or lack resources to pursue their cases. The establishment of the VRC aims to bridge this gap by providing support to crime victims and ensuring their rights are protected throughout legal proceedings.
