CJP issues ultimatum to Chief Election Commissioner over voter rights
The Chief Justice Party (CJP) has issued an ultimatum to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding his resignation within 48 hours or threatening street protests at Jantar Mantar.
The CJP accused the CEC of "undermining" voter rights and launched the "Election Commission Thik Karo" campaign to press demands for electoral reforms. The party has cited concerns about the functioning of the Election Commission under Kumar's leadership.
