CJP Founder Abhijeet Deepak, AISA Chief Neha Bora Detained Ahead of Delhi Protest

Delhi police detained CJP founder Abhijeet Deepak and AISA president Neha Bora on Friday ahead of a planned 'Lehraa Do Tiranga' protest rally at Central Park, Connaught Place. Deepak was taken into preventive custody from Chandni Chowk's Jhandewalan area, while Bora was detained from Mandi House. The detentions took place as scuffles erupted between crowds, camera personnel and security forces.
According to PTI, Deepak was taken to Jaffarpur Kalan police station after detention. Police also began detaining protesters who reached Connaught Place, citing law and order concerns. A police officer stated that individuals attempting to disturb peace were being held in custody, adding that approximately 150 people had been detained so far.
Earlier in the day, more than 20 Delhi police personnel visited Deepak's residence at Jhandewalan and handed him a notice directing him to refrain from taking any such action. The area remains under Section 163 of the CrPC, which restricts gatherings of five or more persons. Central Park had also been closed for two days preceding the planned demonstration.
