CJP Removes Spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya After Viral Burger Video Sparks Massive Backlash Amid Delhi Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has removed Vijeta Dahiya from the post of national spokesperson and relieved him of all official responsibilities after a viral video showing him at a burger outlet during the party's Delhi protest triggered widespread criticism on social media.
The disciplinary action came as outrage grew online over visuals that allegedly showed Dahiya at a restaurant while protesters participating in the party's agitation were facing police action during the march towards Parliament. The controversy quickly became one of the biggest talking points surrounding the protest, prompting the organisation to distance itself from its spokesperson.
In a statement, the CJP said Dahiya's conduct did not reflect the principles of the movement and described his actions as insensitive at a time when party workers and demonstrators were dealing with the aftermath of clashes with security personnel. The party announced that he had been removed from all official duties with immediate effect.
The controversy escalated after multiple videos circulated across social media platforms, with one clip purportedly showing Dahiya at a burger outlet and another showing people questioning him over his presence there while the protest was underway. The timing and circumstances of the videos have not been independently verified.
Responding to the criticism, Dahiya defended himself through a video message, stating that he had participated in the protest before leaving the venue. He said he stopped to eat because he had been awake for two consecutive nights while working for the movement and insisted that there was nothing inappropriate about eating after the demonstration had concluded.
He also claimed that he eventually chose not to eat the burger and instead opted for another meal, adding that his participation in the movement was voluntary and not motivated by personal gain.
The latest controversy comes as CJP continues its campaign over the alleged NEET examination irregularities and demands action from the Centre. The protest movement has remained in the spotlight following clashes between demonstrators and police in Delhi, with the incident intensifying the political debate over the government's handling of the issue.
