We will protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10, says CJP leader

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans to proceed with a protest march to Delhi's Jantar Mantar on October 10 demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, regardless of whether authorities grant permission for the gathering. CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka told The Indian Express that the party would continue the demonstration even if stopped by police, stating, "We'll do a march. Wherever they stop us, we'll sit… that place becomes Jantar Mantar."
This will be the CJP's second major demonstration at Jantar Mantar following a successful sit-in in July that lasted over a month and resulted in then-Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak issue. Ranka claimed that he and other CJP leaders, including founder Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das, could face arrest before the October 10 protest. He warned that if authorities resort to a lathi charge during the demonstration, the party would escalate its demands to directly target Union Home Minister Amit Shah, holding him responsible as the person controlling Delhi Police.
Ranka emphasized that despite potential crackdowns, the CJP remained committed to the protest, asserting that the party extended beyond its individual leaders and would not be deterred by police action.
