CM Vijay Vows Strict Action in Veeramani POCSO Case, Targets DMK Support

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has pledged strict action in the R. Veeramani POCSO case while campaigning for the October 6 Assembly bypolls at Madurantakam, asserting that his government knows who supported the accused.
The case has become a political flashpoint between the ruling TVK and opposition DMK. TVK leaders have criticized how the previous DMK administration handled the matter, while DMK president M.K. Stalin has rejected claims that his government shielded Veeramani, denying any protective order was issued.
Authorities are conducting a renewed investigation following rejection of an earlier closure report, intensifying scrutiny as the case shapes the bypoll campaign narrative.
