Cockroach Party founder Abhijeet Dipke held under breach of peace charges

Delhi Police detained Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), on Friday during the party's 'Raise the Tricolour' campaign. Police have initiated action against Dipke under BNSS sections 126/170, which pertain to breach of peace or confrontational situations. He is scheduled to be produced before a Delhi court on Saturday, October 17.
According to Delhi Police, both AISA national president Neha Bora and activist Dipke were held under precautionary measures on October 16 evening. Bora was released after completion of formal procedures under the Delhi Police Act Section 65. However, action was initiated against Dipke under the aforementioned BNSS sections.
The CJP has accused police of unlawfully detaining Dipke from his residence while he was taking a walk before heading to the event venue, claiming police "kidnapped" him. Notably, Dipke was previously released by court on the condition that he would not breach peace for one year.
