PM Modi wants caste census to fail, alleges Congress

Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh alleged that Prime Minister Modi wants the entire caste census process to fail. The Congress has held 17 press conferences across the country over the last four days to reiterate its demand for conducting the caste census in the proper manner.

The party's repeated focus on the issue reflects its emphasis on what it views as a key governance priority. The Congress has been pressing the government to ensure the caste enumeration process is carried out transparently and comprehensively.
