Congress Member's Son Gets NSUI DUSU Ticket, Loses to Independent Candidate

In the recently held Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections, the NSUI fielded Vir Chatrath for a key position, overlooking claims of party member Deepanshu Shokeen for the ticket.

Shokeen, who was passed over by NSUI, chose to contest as an Independent candidate. He eventually won the election, defeating the NSUI nominee.

Vir Chatrath is the son of Manish Chatrath, a Congress member. The ticket allocation decision has drawn attention to internal party dynamics within the student wing.
