Congress Appoints Sachin Pilot As Punjab General Secretary Ahead of Elections

The Congress party has announced a reshuffle of its state-level leadership ahead of next year's Assembly elections. Sachin Pilot has been appointed as the party's general secretary in-charge of poll-bound Punjab.

Bhupesh Baghel, who previously held the Punjab portfolio, has been reassigned to take charge of Assam as general secretary. The leadership changes are part of the party's preparations for elections in several key states in the coming months.
