Congress accuses Adityanath of allowing mafia nexus with political protection in UP

The Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has fostered a "one district, one mafia" model across Uttar Pradesh. The party contends that Dalits and marginalised communities suffer most from a collusion between criminal elements and those holding political office.

According to the Congress, this nexus permits mafia groups to operate with political protection, enabling them to harass the general public with impunity. The opposition party has raised concerns about the safety and rights of vulnerable sections of society in the state.
