CPI(M) criticizes Kerala government's police probe against Vijayan on ED request

The CPI(M) has opposed the Kerala government's decision to initiate a police investigation against former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family members based on a request from the Enforcement Directorate.
CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby stated that Congress's political approach in Kerala "stands in stark contrast" to the party's stated national position against the Centre's alleged misuse of investigative agencies to target non-BJP parties.
The remarks highlight the growing friction between the UDF coalition government in Kerala and its alliance partner CPI(M) over the handling of cases involving senior party leaders.
