CRPF officer seeks Delhi HC intervention for election casualty data

Delhi High Court has issued notices on a petition filed by CRPF Assistant Commandant Rahul Solanki, who is challenging a Central Information Commission order that he says shielded the Election Commission of India from providing centralised casualty records.

Solanki's petition seeks access to data on deaths of government and security officials during the 2024 general elections. The CIC order, according to the petitioner, prevented the ECI from disclosing this information despite requests under the Right to Information Act.
