Delhi Airport Targets 125 Million Passengers by 2036 with Terminal Link and Infrastructure Upgrades

Indira Gandhi International Airport has outlined a development roadmap extending to 2036 aimed at handling 125 million passengers annually. The plan includes expansion of Pier E at Terminal 3, addition of aircraft stands, and road infrastructure upgrades to enhance capacity and connectivity.
A key component is the installation of an Automated People Mover (APM) system to link the airport terminals with the aerocity, improving passenger movement and access to commercial facilities. The phased development strategy seeks to address growing air traffic demand and modernise ground operations.
