Delhi High Court Closes PIL for INA Martyrs Memorial at Red Fort

The Delhi High Court has closed a public interest litigation that sought to establish a memorial for Indian National Army martyrs at the Red Fort. The court ruled that decisions on erecting memorials fall within the discretion of the government and are not matters for judicial intervention.
The court's order clarifies that while public sentiment on honouring historical figures is important, the creation and placement of memorials require executive and legislative deliberation rather than court direction.
