Delhi High Court reprimands student unions for violence and vandalism during DUSU elections

The Delhi High Court has criticised student unions for resorting to violence and vandalism during the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) election campaign, terming such conduct "unacceptable at any cost."
The court has directed the University of Delhi and Delhi Police to file reports detailing the measures taken in response to the alleged incidents of violence and property damage.
The order comes amid ongoing concerns about the conduct of student organisations during the annual DUSU elections, which have periodically witnessed confrontations between competing student groups.
