Dharmendra Pradhan Quits as Education Minister Amid NEET Row; CJP Calls It ‘First Step Towards Victory’

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post on Saturday amid nationwide protests over the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination. His resignation came as student demonstrations continued across the country, with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) claiming the move as a major victory for its campaign.
Reacting to the development, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke urged supporters not to celebrate prematurely, saying, "Don't make me hero, this is our first step towards victory." He also announced a nationwide candlelight march and silent vigil to be held at 6 PM on Saturday, calling on people across the country to participate.
Echoing the party's stance, CJP leader Saurav Das described the resignation as "this is a win to India's democratic and constitutional values."
