Diversify beyond gold for daughter's Streedhan, says wealth manager

Wealth manager Aarti Gupta has advised moving beyond physical gold when building a daughter's Streedhan, or wedding gift. She recommends constructing goal-based, multi-asset portfolios using systematic investment plans (SIPs), index funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for better long-term returns.

Gupta also stressed the importance of financial independence for women through personal bank accounts, emergency savings and involvement in household financial planning. A diversified approach to wealth creation, she suggested, provides greater security and flexibility compared to traditional gold holdings alone.
