DMK backs student protests against Chief Election Commissioner, criticises Congress and TVK

The DMK party has backed ongoing student protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar during a meeting focused on electoral matters. The party adopted four resolutions and three demands during the gathering, which addressed various issues including electoral roll scrutiny.
The DMK used the platform to criticise both the Congress and TVK (Tamil Maanila Congress), accusing them of maintaining double standards on issues related to electoral governance and student activism. The party aligned itself with the student movement while targeting the credibility of rival political formations.
The meeting reflected DMK's strategy to engage with grassroots activism while leveraging electoral governance concerns as a political weapon against opposition parties in Tamil Nadu's competitive political landscape.
