Karnataka to Challenge Tamil Nadu's Supreme Court Plea on Cauvery Water Release

Karnataka's Water Resources Minister Ramalinga Reddy has instructed department officials and legal counsel to challenge a petition filed by Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court regarding the release of Cauvery water. The move escalates the ongoing dispute between the two southern states.

Tamil Nadu's petition contends that Karnataka has failed to comply with orders issued by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) concerning water release. Karnataka's challenge will be presented in the coming legal proceedings.
