EC dismisses report of internal dissent, says decisions unanimous

The Election Commission has responded to a report suggesting internal disagreements among its commissioners. According to an Indian Express report, commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi raised objections at least 14 times over the past ten months to decisions taken without their knowledge.
The EC stated that its decisions are unanimous and that differing viewpoints during deliberations are a normal part of the decision-making process. The response follows allegations of discord within the poll body regarding how certain electoral matters have been handled.
