ECI modifies declaration form for Bihar SIR process

Election Commission of India officials have stated that a separate declaration form, used in conjunction with Form 6 and Form 8, was approved by the three-member commission when the Simultaneous Elections (SIR) process commenced in Bihar last year.

The officials noted that this declaration form was ratified again during the second and third phases of the SIR implementation in the state.

The clarification addresses procedural changes made to the electoral documentation system as part of the nationwide simultaneous elections initiative in Bihar.
