Election Commission to hold CNR Rao's hearing at his residence after objections
The Election Commission of India has decided to move an electoral hearing for Bharat Ratna recipient CNR Rao to his residence. The scientist was previously asked to appear for a hearing to address a discrepancy in how his name was recorded in electoral documents.
The decision to shift the venue came after objections were raised over the original arrangement. CNR Rao, the renowned scientist and former chief of the Indian Institute of Science, was being asked to clarify the name registration issue.
