ED expands probe into Azam Khan's associates in Jauhar Trust-University case

The Enforcement Directorate is intensifying its investigation into the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust and Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, entities linked to Samajwadi Party senior leader Azam Khan and his family. During recent raids across Rampur, Saharanpur and Delhi, the ED seized documents that allegedly reveal suspicious and fake firms used for diverting large sums of money and conducting dubious transactions.
The agency is examining financial irregularities related to donations to the trust, government project contracts, and construction work. Documents recovered from a chartered accountant's office and residence in Saharanpur are under scrutiny, revealing allegedly fraudulent transactions where funds were routed through shell companies. Bank account details have been obtained and the ED is preparing to question individuals linked to these accounts and firms.
The investigation also focuses on alleged diversion of funds from government contractors through private contractors to the university and trust. The ED is now linking documents, bank accounts and transactions between related firms to map the entire financial network.
