ED raids 18 locations of Karnataka Congress minister Satish Jarkiholi

The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday conducted raids on approximately 18 premises linked to Karnataka PWD Minister and senior Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi. Search operations were carried out in Bengaluru, Belagavi and parts of Maharashtra, including Jarkiholi's residence in Bengaluru's Dollars Colony. The raids were conducted with CRPF security and strict measures in place, though ED has not disclosed details of items recovered.
The investigation extends beyond Jarkiholi to his daughter Priyanka Jarkiholi, a Congress MP. ED sources indicated the agency is examining documents and materials across the 18 locations. The action follows an earlier June 24 ED search at the residence of Jarkiholi's brother-in-law Y. Manjunath, an Additional Commissioner in the Excise Department, related to alleged illegal money transfers abroad.
Jarkiholi is close to Congress president Mallikarjunn Kharge and holds significant position in the party, making the ED action politically significant.
