Education Ministry launches nationwide screening to bolster inclusive education for children with special needs

The Ministry of Education has initiated a nationwide screening programme aimed at strengthening inclusive education practices for children with special needs (CwSN). The initiative has mobilised participation from more than 60,000 schools across the country.
The screening module incorporates practical examples and interactive activities designed to familiarise school personnel with appropriate and respectful practices for supporting children with special needs. The programme seeks to build capacity among educators and staff to create more inclusive learning environments.
This effort reflects the government's commitment to ensuring that all children, regardless of ability, have access to quality education and adequate support systems within mainstream schools.
