EC's TMC symbol freeze unites INDIA bloc opposition

The Election Commission's decision to freeze the Trinamool Congress's election symbol and name has united the INDIA opposition alliance. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi stated on Friday that this is not merely Mamata Banerjee's fight, but belongs to every party and voter seeking free and fair elections.
Gandhi alleged a pattern of vote theft, government theft, and now party theft as symbols of democratic decline. He cited instances of Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, and now TMC facing similar actions, claiming the BJP and Election Commission work together to dismantle parties and strip them of electoral symbols.
Other opposition leaders including Congress's KC Venugopal, Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav, and Shiv Sena also backed Banerjee. The alliance, which had appeared fractured since the general elections, has regained cohesion following the EC's decision.
