England surpasses India to reclaim top T20I ranking

England has dethroned India to reclaim the number one position in the ICC T20I rankings. Both teams hold identical rating points of 269, but England's superior average performance across fewer matches has allowed it to take the top spot.

India has accumulated 17,201 points across 64 matches, while England has gathered 11,021 points in just 41 games. This difference in the points-per-match ratio has proved decisive in the rankings calculation, enabling England to edge ahead of India despite the same overall rating.
