EPF-exempt establishments can now invest in NDB rupee bonds

Rupee bonds issued by the New Development Bank (NDB) with an outstanding maturity of at least three years have been added to the approved investment options for establishments exempt from the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) scheme.
The move brings NDB rupee bonds into parity with similar instruments issued by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation, and Asian Development Bank—all of which were already on the approved list.
This expansion provides EPF-exempt establishments with additional avenues to deploy their funds in multilateral development bank securities.
