EPFO Wage Ceiling Revision to Boost Minimum Pension for Retirees

The Employee Provident Fund Organisation has revised its wage ceiling, a move aimed at improving pension security for lower-income retirees. The increase in the minimum PF pension will provide better protection for workers at the lower end of the income spectrum who depend on these benefits after retirement.
The revision addresses long-standing concerns about inadequate pension payouts for the worst-off among retired workers. By raising the wage ceiling, the EPFO seeks to ensure that minimum pension entitlements better reflect the needs of vulnerable retiree populations.
