Ethanol production can boost farmer income and cut fuel imports: Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched an electric bus service in Madhya Pradesh with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, emphasizing ethanol's role in raising farmer incomes and reducing India's fuel import burden.
Gadkari pointed to the recent rise in maize prices to ₹2,600 per quintal as evidence of increased agricultural demand. He highlighted the government's ₹57,000-crore PM e-Bus Sewa scheme as part of broader efforts to promote sustainable transport and support rural economies through biofuel initiatives.
