Centre's ethanol fuel approval welcomed by sugarcane farmers in Mysuru

Sugarcane farmers in Mysuru have expressed approval following the Centre's clearance for 100% ethanol fuel. The development marks a response to a resolution passed at the South India Farmers' Convention held in Mysuru in 2006, which called on the government to promote ethanol production from sugarcane and permit its use as fuel.
The move is expected to provide an additional market outlet for sugarcane, potentially improving farmer incomes and supporting the agricultural sector in the region.
