Samyukta Kisan Morcha has rejected the government's announced minimum support prices for Rabi crops, describing the marginal increase for wheat as inadequate. The farmer organisations termed the 25 paise per kg hike an insult rather than acceptable compensation for cultivators.

SKM has demanded a revision of MSPs and called on state governments to provide additional bonuses to farmers. The groups also highlighted the mounting burden on farming due to rising diesel and input costs, which they argue erode any benefit from modest price increases.
