FCI Seeks 100% Improved Rice Variety from Punjab Ahead of Paddy Harvest

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has sought 100% supply of improved rice varieties from Punjab as the paddy harvesting season approaches. The demand was raised during a high-level meeting to streamline procurement operations.
The move aims to ensure better quality rice procurement and standardize supplies across FCI's operations. Punjab, a major rice-producing state, plays a crucial role in India's food grain management and public distribution system.
