FM Sitharaman targets 10%+ growth, defends India's AI position

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has set a growth target of over 10 per cent and rejected suggestions that India is lagging in artificial intelligence. She pointed to the country's start-up ecosystem, which has grown significantly since 2015, as evidence of the momentum required to achieve higher economic growth.
Sitharaman's remarks come as policymakers seek to position India as a key player in emerging technologies while maintaining strong economic growth trajectories.
