FSSAI defends action against Dabur's '100%' claims, says five notices issued

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has defended its August 3 order against Dabur, stating that the action was not abrupt. The regulator said it had issued five notices to the company prior to prohibiting the sale of a range of food products carrying '100%' labels.
The move came after allegations that Dabur was using misleading labelling claims on its products. A high court subsequently stayed the FSSAI's order, allowing Dabur to continue sales of the affected items.
