12-Foot Ganesh Idol Topples in Kurla During Transport to Dharavi; Two Injured

A 12-foot Ganesh idol collapsed in Kurla on Wednesday while being transported from Belbazar to Dharavi for the Ganeshotsav festivities. The idol, belonging to Om Shakti Welfare Foundation and associated with Prem Nagarcha Maharaja Ganesh mandal, lost balance while crossing a speed breaker.

Two people—Santosh Jaiswar and Rohit Jaiswar—sustained minor injuries in the incident and were treated at Bhabha Hospital. Following the accident, the idol was immersed in the nearby Sheetal Talao. This marks the second such toppling incident during this year's Ganeshotsav preparations, after a similar occurrence in Bhuleshwar.
