German Woman Arrested in Delhi for Citizenship Fraud Scheme

Delhi police arrested a 64-year-old German woman on charges of running a fraudulent scheme that promised foreign citizenship to Indian nationals in exchange for substantial sums of money.
The accused allegedly collected approximately ₹60 lakh from multiple victims by guaranteeing citizenship in foreign countries. Police said the woman operated the scam by luring individuals with false assurances of obtaining visas and citizenship documents abroad.
The arrest was made following a formal complaint filed by one of the victims. Authorities are investigating the extent of the fraud and the number of people affected by the scheme. Further details regarding the operational methods and accomplices, if any, are being probed.
