Golden fibreglass dog statue vanishes from Chennai's Besant Nagar

A golden fibreglass dog statue that stood on Besant Avenue Road in Chennai's Besant Nagar has disappeared. The sculpture, which formed part of the Greater Chennai Corporation's Health Walk initiative and was used as a popular selfie point, went missing sometime before this morning.

The distinctive gold-painted dog was a recognisable landmark in the locality. Residents of the area are now on the lookout for the brightly coloured statue, hoping to locate it.
