Goldy Brar claims involvement in Nijjar killing in leaked audio; US charges filed amid India-Canada tensions

In a leaked audio recording, alleged Punjabi gangster Goldy Brar has claimed involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Khalistan Tiger Force chief who was shot dead in British Columbia in June 2023. The audio has surfaced amid heightened tensions between India and Canada over the case.

US authorities have filed charges related to the incident, adding another layer to the diplomatic fallout between New Delhi and Ottawa. Canada had previously alleged Indian involvement in Nijjar's death, prompting India to expel a Canadian diplomat and withdraw its envoy from Ottawa.
