Government commits ₹500 crore to C-CAMP as focused research organisation under RDI Fund

The Government of India's Research and Development Innovation (RDI) Fund has selected C-CAMP as a focused research organisation and committed ₹500 crore towards its initiatives. The RDI Fund itself received Union Cabinet approval on July 1, 2025.
Since its establishment, the RDI Fund has already extended direct project funding support to 22 start-ups, of which two are part of C-CAMP's portfolio. The focus on C-CAMP underscores the government's strategy to channel resources toward research-driven innovation and institutional capacity-building.
This move aligns with broader efforts to strengthen India's research ecosystem and foster entrepreneurship through targeted financial support to recognised research organisations.
