Government Debunks Viral 'Operation Sindoor 2.0' Letter as Fake

A letter claiming Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has issued directives for a major military operation called 'Operation Sindoor 2.0' went viral on social media. The purported government document suggested preparations for a large-scale military campaign were underway.

However, the government's fact-checking agency PIB Fact Check investigated the claim and found it entirely false. The letter circulating on social media is fraudulent. Neither the Defence Secretary nor the Defence Ministry has issued any such letter or official orders regarding 'Operation Sindoor 2.0'.

PIB cautioned the public against misleading claims and urged citizens to verify sensitive information through official sources before sharing. Such fabricated documents related to military and national security matters frequently circulate on social media, causing confusion among the public.
