Gurgaon slashes construction waste charges by 85% to end sanitation strike

Gurgaon authorities have cut construction and demolition waste disposal charges by 85% in response to a sanitation strike that has left garbage piling up across the city. The steep reduction in fees is aimed at incentivizing waste clearance and ending the worker agitation.
The strike had disrupted waste management operations, causing refuse to accumulate in residential and commercial areas. By slashing the disposal charges, the municipal administration hopes to resume normal sanitation services and clear the backlog of accumulated waste.
