Half of Modi's Cabinet holds no stock market portfolio, opts for FDs and land instead

According to asset declarations filed by Cabinet Ministers for the financial year 2025-26, half of the 30 ministers do not hold stock market portfolios. Eight ministers have invested exclusively in fixed deposits, while 15 maintain securities and market investments.
The remaining ministers diversify their holdings across real estate, agricultural land, cattle, and other non-financial assets. The declarations reveal varied investment strategies among the Union Cabinet, with a significant preference for safer, traditional investment vehicles over equities.
