BJP drops all 8 Uttar Pradesh Rajya Sabha members, including Hardeep Puri

The BJP has not renominated any of its eight Rajya Sabha members from Uttar Pradesh whose terms are set to end. The outgoing members include Hardeep Singh Puri, BL Verma, Arun Singh, Neeraj Shekhar, Geeta Shakya, Brijlal and Seema Dwivedi. Former deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma held the eighth seat but resigned on September 11 after being appointed lieutenant governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The terms of all seven active members were due to expire on November 25. The decision marks a significant change in the party's Rajya Sabha lineup from the state.
