Haryana to acquire 1,158 acres for Gurugram's missing 24-metre roads

The Haryana government has decided to acquire 1,158 acres of private land to construct the missing 24-metre-wide roads in Gurugram, following a High Court reprimand over the delays.
The acquisition comes after judicial pressure on the state administration to complete road infrastructure that was planned as part of Gurugram's development but remained incomplete. The High Court had criticised the government's inaction on the matter.
The move aims to expedite the construction of these wide arterial roads, which are considered essential for improving traffic flow and connectivity in the rapidly growing city.
