Lasting victory is preventing youth from starting drugs: Haryana anti-drug body chief

The chief executive of Haryana's anti-drug body has emphasized that the real measure of success in combating drug abuse is preventing young people from beginning drug use in the first place.

The official stressed that while rehabilitation and treatment of existing addicts are important, the focus should primarily be on awareness and prevention among the youth population to ensure long-term impact in the fight against narcotics.
