Haryana High Court quashes HPSC's new NET cut-off barring reserved candidates from other states

The Haryana High Court has quashed a new NET cut-off condition imposed by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) that effectively blocked reserved category candidates from other states from applying.
Justice Harpreet Singh Brar, in a common order on 79 connected petitions, ruled that HPSC cannot introduce fresh conditions after the recruitment process for 2,424 Assistant Professor positions had already commenced. The court found the new requirement violated principles of fairness and equal opportunity in the ongoing selection process.
